Connormancy - infinite xp and NPC resurrection - Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3)
In the guide in videos you may find some items from Act 3. There's an easy way to skip past Act 2 and go to Act 3 then easily come back to previous acts which will also be covered in future posts :)
Necessary stuff
- Corpse of Connor
Bitter Divorce (
Bitter Divorce )- Any corpse of an enemy, neutral or an ally
- High enough strength to pick-up Connor's corpse after each exploit
Step by step instruction
- Kill or skip past the Hag fight to retrieve
Bitter Divorce - For easier exploit - kill Mayrina
- Retrieve Connor's corpse (X: -70, Y: 225)
- Enjoy the Connormancy
What does it do ?
Thanks to bugginess of
Bitter Divorce, Connor can be revived with a nearby creature we point at. This can allow to pre-buff before combat and exploit various mechanics with stuff like:
Psionic Overload - Stack
Lightning Charges thanks to various items eg.
The Spellsparkler - Stack or activate conditions from various items like
Rhapsody,
Killer's Sweetheart etc. - Achieve an easy XP farm in Act 2.
- Use dead enemies as companions through
Control Undead - even Bosses. - Revive npcs that were killed by accident
XP farm
To achieve the XP farm you'll need to get the Hollow Armour found in
House of Healing Morgue in Act 2 and obviously our beloved Connor with
Bitter Divorce. This special Animated Armour spawns a Shadow enemy which gives 75 XP every time it's killed and you can do this trick infinitely. Multiple Shadows can by spawned through some damage riding effects - the easiest way to do it is to use
Arrow of Fire.
Conclusions and credits
Connor and
Bitter Divorce are a really game breaking pair which can bring you a lot of benefits if you exploit it enough. The potential of the revives is limited to your imagination but even the simplest stacking of buffs before combat is enough to make this exploit worth using. For any questions of what will work, what won't work and any issues I heavily urge to ask in the comments.
Very big thanks to Remus 71 and tbj_Quag for helping with finding some interactions.
