Courage is a Shield found in Dragon Age 2. These items can be obtained through quests, found in chests, looted from enemies, etc. They provide bonus stats for the main character and some of the companions

Can be looted from the chests found in Gamlen's House or Hawke Estate if you have the DLC.

The shield has no stats requirements so can be worn at any time in the game.
