This policy covers https://www.gamestegy.com (“Gamestegy”)

What information Gamestegy collects and Why

In order to give you the best possible experience using Gamestegy, we collect information from your interactions with our network. We use common internet technologies, such as cookies and web server logs. We collect this basic information from everybody, whether they have an account or not.

The information we collect about all visitors to our website includes:

  • The visitor’s browser type
  • Referring site
  • The date and time of each visitor request
  • We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

We use this information to:

  • Provide, test, improve, promote and personalize Gamestegy Services
  • Fight spam and other forms of abuse
  • Generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how people use Gamestegy Services

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

In order for you to create an account on Gamestegy and use our Services, we need to collect and process certain information. Depending on your use of the Services, that may include:

  • Communications you send to us (for example, when you ask for support, send us questions or comments, or report a problem);
  • Information that you submit on or to Gamestegy in the form of reactions, comments, or messages to other users;
  • The email address associated with your Gmail account, if you choose to sign up using your Gmail credentials. Gamestegy will also request permission to access additional information (these permissions are governed by Gmail’s privacy policies and can be managed through your Gmail privacy settings). We never post anything to your Gmail without your permission.
  • You also have the option to give us more information if you want to, and this may include “User Personal Information.”

Information Disclosure

We do not sell User Personal Information in the traditional sense of exchanging it for monetary payment from third parties for their own commercial use. However, like many websites that offer free content and services, we partner with third parties for advertising and analytics purposes. These partnerships may involve the collection of information from your browser or device and the sharing of certain identifiers or internet activity data that could be considered a "sale" under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Please see our "For California Residents: CCPA Information" section for more details on these practices and your rights.

We do share certain aggregated, non-personally identifying information with others about how our users, collectively, use Gamestegy. For example, we may share information pertaining to the popularity of different games for advertising partners.

We do host first-party advertising on Gamestegy. We do not run any code from advertisers and all ad images are hosted on managed Gamestegy servers. For more details, see our section on Advertising Details.

We may use User Personal Information with your permission, so we can perform services you have authorized. For example, if you indicate you are looking for work, we may contact you with opportunities.

We may share User Personal Information with a limited number of third party vendors who process it on our behalf to provide or improve our service, and who have agreed to privacy restrictions similar to our own Privacy Statement. Our third party vendors are listed below.

Lawful Bases for Processing Your Personal Data

We process your personal data based on the following lawful bases under GDPR:

  • Consent: For certain activities, we rely on your consent. This includes the use of non-essential cookies and similar tracking technologies for personalized advertising, analytics, and delivering tailored content. We also rely on your consent for sending you direct marketing communications (e.g., newsletters) if you have subscribed. You provide this consent via our Consent Management Platform (CMP) when you first visit our website or by opting into specific services. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as described below and via our consent management tool.
  • Contractual Necessity: If you create an account on Gamestegy or otherwise enter into an agreement with us for our Services, we process your personal data (such as your email address and user-submitted content) as necessary to provide and manage these Services, fulfill our contractual obligations to you, and manage your account.
  • Legitimate Interests: We process certain personal data for our legitimate interests, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. Our legitimate interests include:
    • Operating and maintaining our website, including ensuring its security and integrity (e.g., processing IP addresses for security logs, fighting spam).
    • Analyzing website traffic and user interaction (often using aggregated or pseudonymized data) to improve our website design, user experience, and services.
    • Responding to your communications and providing customer support.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, as described in your rights below.
  • Legal Obligation: We may process your personal data where necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject (e.g., responding to lawful requests from authorities).

Your Data Protection Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following data protection rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data that we hold.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure (right to be forgotten): You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions (e.g., if the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or if you withdraw consent and there is no other legal ground for processing).

  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected and that you provided to us to another organization, or directly to you, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, under certain conditions (primarily where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means).
  • The right to withdraw consent: If we are processing your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal data conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent. You can withdraw your consent for cookies and similar technologies as described in the "Cookies, Similar Technologies, and Consent Management" section below.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at zanuffas@gamestegy.com. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws, typically within one month. Data Transfers Outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

Your personal data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than the country in which you are resident. Our primary data storage is in Lithuania (which is within the EEA). However, we use third-party service providers (such as hosting providers, analytics providers like Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, advertising partners like Nitropay and Microsoft Advertising, and email service providers like SendGrid or Mailjet) that may operate in other countries.

If we transfer personal data of users from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a third country that the European Commission or UK Information Commissioner's Office has not deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data. These safeguards typically include implementing Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission (or the UK equivalent) with the third party, or relying on other valid transfer mechanisms. For example. You can request more information about the safeguards we have in place by contacting us.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as needed to provide you with our Services. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:

  • The length of time you have an active account with us.
  • Our legal obligations (e.g., we may be required to keep certain information for tax and accounting purposes for a specific period).
  • Whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as in regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations).

When we no longer need to process your personal data for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, we will either delete or anonymize it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal data has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Cookies, Similar Technologies, and Consent Management

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web server logs and pixels) to collect information about your Browse activities over time and across different websites following your use of our Services. This helps us operate our website, understand how visitors use our services, provide personalized content, and, with your consent, deliver targeted advertising.

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain and manage your consent for the use of non-essential cookies and similar technologies that process personal data. When you first visit our website from such a region, you will be presented with a banner allowing you to provide or withhold consent for different categories of data processing.

You can review and change your consent preferences at any time by clicking on the link, which is located in the footer of our website. Clicking this link will bring up the consent management interface again.

For more detailed information about the specific cookies we use, their purposes, and duration, please refer to our [Consider adding a "Cookie Policy" link here if you create a separate, more detailed one. Otherwise, ensure your CMP provides this detailed information, and you can state: "Detailed information on the cookies we use can be found within our consent management tool."].

If you have any concerns about our use of your personal data, we encourage you to contact us first at zanuffas@gamestegy.com so we can try to resolve your concerns. However, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in the EEA member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement, or with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are in the UK.
