The Final Thought is a Staff found in Dragon Age 2. These items can be obtained through quests, found in chests, looted from enemies, etc. They provide bonus stats for the main character and some of the companions

You can purchase the staff from Emporium's Relics and Antiques in the Black Emporium. The price is 152 Gold 15 Silver 93 Copper
It appears in Act 3

- This is probably the best staff in the game
- It provides the largest pure damage values.
