1. Once in the Fade be sure not to miss the quest: Broken Window. It will allow you to obtain the ring once you finish the puzzle.
2. Once you unlock the balcony in the Chateau d'Onterre you will find a locked door. Have your rogue unlock it. The ring will be stashed in the chest by the table. This all happened in Emerald Greaves
