M-9 Tempest is a Submachine Gun. These weapons have a high fire rate and large clips. Unfortunately, they have lower accuracy compared to other weapons.

This submachine gun fires in long deadly bursts. Very effective against shields and biotic barriers. Inaccurate at long range. Weak against armor. Upgrades the Shuriken Machine Pistol.

M-9 Tempest - How to obtain
Available during Tali's recruitment mission on planet Haestrom. It should be picked up before answering radio transmission by the Quarians.
The mission becomes available during the mid-game.
M-9 Tempest - Notes
- Good on companions, because they have good accuracy with most of the weapons.
- The spread drastically increases after the prolonged shooting. Due to this, I suggest shooting in short bursts.
