M-27 Scimitar is a Shotgun. It is an effective weapon in close range where it deals large damage. They also come with a slow fire rate.

M-27 Scimitar - Description

An elite military shotgun capable of rapid fire, this weapon is deadly at short range but ineffective at long range. Effective against shields and biotic barriers, but weak against armor. Upgrades the Katana Shotgun.

Manufactured by Ariake Technologies, the Scimitar features twin mass effect generators, giving it a more rapid rate of fire than a traditional shotgun. This weapon was created for the Eclipse mercenary band but is rapidly becoming popular with Blood Pack mercs, as well.

M-27 Scimitar - How to obtain

Obtained during Samara's recruitment mission: Dossier: The Justicar. This mission becomes available after you complete the mission on the Horizon planet.

You will find it in one of the rooms with the weapon locker. The room is accessed, after using the elevator to access the mercenary base and defeating the first wave of Eclipse enemies.

If not collected, the shotgun will be awarded after the mission

M-27 Scimitar - Notes

• This weapon is best suited for Vanguard builds that can utilize prolonged close combat.
• Incendiary Ammo ability will improve its effectiveness against armors.
