Barrier is a Biotic Power in Mass Effect 3. These abilities are used by Adepts and allow them to manipulate biotic fields. They can be both offensive and defensive.

4	Barrier Strength Decrease damage taken by 5%.	4 Squad Points
5	Shield Recharge Increase shield regeneration rate by 15% while Barrier is active.	5 Squad Points
5	Power Synergy Increase damage and force by 25% (30% multiplayer) while Barrier is active.	5 Squad Points
6	Power Recharge Reduce the power speed penalty by 30%.	6 Squad Points
6	Barrier Strength Increase damage protection by 10%.	6 Squad Points

The power activates instantaneously, without animations
It can prime unprotected enemies for Biotic Explosions.
