Characteristics

A second large monster that you will encounter in Monster Hunter Rise. As all bears Arzuros enjoys honey. His main weapons is his body and claws.

Arzuros has thick skin which results in most of his lower body part resistant to damage.

Strategy

Generally Arzuros has quite predictable attack paths. You can use this to your advantage to lay traps. However, the hard part can be to discern what type of attack he will use. for example:

• When he is standing with his back to you he may turn around or do his Hip jump attack
• He could lunge on you or just do a taunting roar

Have these in mind and start the fight by poking him and learning his movesets.

Here are a short rundown of his main attacks:

• Continous claw attacks - the most deadly attack, it can trick you into using your skillbind for defense. However, it will only work for the first attack and this does at least three swipes
• Swipe - simple attack where he swipes with his claws in front
• Hip Attack - when he is turned away from his hunter he can jump back with his hip knocking down you.

Arzuros main weakness is his back, which can be hard to reach. moreover, he is weak to fire damage.
