Stats Each blow generates charges which increase sword damage by 10%. Charges are lost over time or when receiving damage. A fully-charged sword always deals critical hit damage.
Killing a foe with a fully loaded sword will expend its charge to permanently increase the weapon's damage. Damage is increased by: 0 (to a maximum of 10 - increasing along with your character level).

Aerondight is a Silver Sword in Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Witchers use these weapons to fight monsters.

Aerondight - Location

Requires Blood and Wine expansion. You will obtain it during the side quest There Can Be Only One

It can be started on the notice board by picking up the notice Test Yourself with the Trials of the Virtues!

Then you can go to the lake northwest of Beauclair.

There you will meet a hermit who will require to prove that you have 5 knight virtues. These can be obtained when exploring or doing various quests in Toussaint.

Honor

  • During the quest, The Warble of a Smitten Knight choose the name Geralt when registering for the tournament. Then, accept the duel with Prince Anseis and win
  • During the quest Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls of Granite return the stones to the sculptor.

Compassion

  • During The Beast of Toussaint - spare Shaelmaar's life
  • Big Game Hunter - free the panther (use Axii) that you encounter when walking in the wild with the Count.
  • Big Game Hunter - ask Beledal about his daughter when in the gathering after you help him.

Valor

  • Win the tournament during The Warble of a Smitten Knight quest.
  • Contract: Bovine Blues - Slay the slyzard pair on the top of the mountain
  • Kill the main boss Dettlaff during the Tesham Mutna story quest.

Generosity

  • When receiving a letter in the central square of Beauclair from a child, pay the boy. The letter comes from Triss or Yennefer, based on who you romanced, and reveals Turn and Face the Strange quest
  • During the main story quest Where Children Toil, Toys Waste Away, when you meet a shoeshine boy, give him 500 coins

Wisdom

  • During the Warble of a Smitten Knight quest, lift Vivienne's curse.
  • During the La Cage au Fou quest, lift the Wight's curse
  • After you find Hugo in Father Knows Worst, encourage him to speak with his brothers.
  • Win Gwent tournament in Gwent: To Everything - Turn, Turn, Tournament! quest

Completing the virtues

After you prove them, come back to him, where you will need to beat him in combat.

Aerondight - Notes

  • The sword comes without any slots. Use Runewright, to add sockets for runes or runewords.
  • To level up Aerondight or increase its damage you need to kill the enemy with a maximum charge of 10.
  • The sword level with Geralt. However, there is a caveat - only the maximum potential increases. This means that to get increased damage you need to level up Aerondight with the charge mechanic mentioned above.
