Location - Moon Devotion Robe

This article has major spoilers for Act 2 and Act 3

To acquire this robe, you will have multiple opportunities; some of them have consequences on the outcome of Act 2 and 3.

Act 2 - Shadow-Cursed Lands

Killing Isobel

If you let Isobel be kidnapped or you kill her, most of the inhabitants of Last Light Inn will die, including traders (Map icon bg3Dammon, Map icon bg3Mattis, Map icon bg3Quartermaster Talli), who will not appear in Act 3. Also, a massive battle against shadow-cursed residents will begin.

Choosing this path means you will be unable to progress Karlach's personal quest.

Last Light Inn
After gaining access to Map icon bg3Last Light Inn, talk to Map icon bg3Isobel on the second floor. A battle will begin; if you side with Marcus when Isobel is knocked out, she will be kidnapped and taken to Map icon bg3Moonrise Towers. You either have to let Isobel be kidnapped or kill her.

If you kill Isobel, the result will be the same as kidnapping her; her body will disappear, and you will encounter her before battling Map icon bg3Ketheric Thorm.

At Mindflayer Colony
You will encounter and battle Isobel with Map icon bg3Ketheric Thorm. After defeating them, you can loot the robe from her.

Knocking Isobel out at the camp

This is the best way to acquire the robe if you do not want to side with Shar and want to keep Nightsong and Isobel alive for the final battle.

By using stealth, it is possible to knock out Isobel at your camp and loot her without any drawbacks. Here are the required steps to achieve this:

  1. Shadowheart has to disobey the Shar's orders at Map icon bg3Shadowfell.
  2. Continue playing until defeating Map icon bg3Ketheric Thorm.
  3. After the battle, Isobel and Dame Aylin will be in your camp; go there.
  4. You will need to Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks icon passive feature bg3Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks.​
  5. Cast a spell that would blind Isobel like Darkness icon action bg3Darkness​, Fog Cloud icon action bg3Fog Cloud​ (only Isobel, not Dame Aylin).
  6. Deactivate the blinding spell, and Isobel will become hostile, while Dame Aylin will avoid confrontation.
  7. Knock out Isobel by only using melee or hand attacks and loot her. After the next long rest, she will wake up.

 

Act 3 - Lower City

In Act 3, you can help Map icon bg3Lorroakan prison Dame Aylin, which will lead to Isobel trying to save her and dying.

  1. Go to Map icon bg3Sorcerous Sundries and talk with Map icon bg3Rolan (or if he died Map icon bg3Lorroakan's Projection will be in his place).
  2. Tell him that you have information regarding the Nightsong.
  3. On the second floor, Lorroakan's projection will appear, talk to him, and use the white portal on the left.
  4. When talking to Map icon bg3Lorroakan accept to aid him in capturing Nightsong (Dame Aylin).
  5. Go back to your camp and talk with Dame Aylin and convince her to go to Map icon bg3Lorroakan.
  6. Go back to Map icon bg3Lorroakan, you will have to side with him and defeat Dame Aylin.
  7. After defeating her, go back to your camp and talk with Isobel, and tell her that Dame Aylin was captured.
  8. Isobel will run to save her, but will get killed in the process, leaving you to loot her at the tower close to Map icon bg3Lorroakan.
