News about Patch 8 - Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3)

So, if you have been following the news Larian announced that there will be a major Baldur's Gate 3 update - Patch 8. It was expected that there would still be a big patch, but nothing at this scale. Check the full post from Larian. Let's go through what can be expected:

Cross-Play

Okay, as I don't play multiplayer, this is not something I am too excited about. But I see this as a great way for those with friends with various platforms to play and enjoy the game. This will make it easier to have more lobby options, and let everyone enjoy multiple mods.

Photo Mode

This is something that I have been truly lacking in my builds. I do love the option of being able to make a perfect shot of your character and use it as a cover image for posts. I kind of utilized AI for that, but sometimes you can't just get the perfect thing you need.

I think it is always welcome to have Photo Mode as an option to share your experiences or have an easy way to create a perfect thumbnail/wallpaper. I do wish it would have been added a bit sooner, as my build posts would look much better :D

The last, and the most amazing - new Subclasses

This is a huge bomb in my opinion, and something that blindsided almost everyone I know. Although it's not a new content expansion, the subclasses will give a breath of fresh air. All of the classes get them and each will come with unique features and actions. Just to mention a few:

• Cleric - Death Domain
• Paladin - Oath of the Crown
• Monk - Drunken Master
• Ranger - Swarmkeeper
• ... and many more

This is amazing news, and will give options to cook new builds an utilize various items that the game offers.
