Trickery Domain - Duplication Glitch - Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3)

In this post, I would like to go through the recently discovered bug with the Trickery Cleric in Baldur's Gate 3. You can duplicate any equipable item in the inventory slot with this glitch, going from weapons, to armor, to camp clothes.

All the things you need

PC

Preparation

• 2 Levels in Cleric of Trickery Domain, can be anyone.
• Equipped items in the inventory slots to dupe.
• Quick hands and no, this isn't a joke.

Console

Preparation

• 2 Levels in Cleric of Trickery Domain, can be anyone.
• Equipped items in the inventory slots to dupe.
• A character with good Sleight of Hand score.
• Source of Hastened​ that isn't the spell Haste​ itself, can be from Potion of Speed or Haste Spores​.
• Engage in a fight, can be with an enemy or an ally, a summon with equipped Abyss Beckoners can help. Reason why we want to be in a fight is because the summon from Invoke Duplicity​ will spawn with items in it's inventory. If we do it outside combat the summon will have the items equipped but will not have them in the inventory.

Step by step instructions

PC

1. Equip the items you want to duplicate.
2. Use the Invoke Duplicity​ feature.
3. Unequip your items or have a companion in your team, to whom you may give the items.
4. Take control of the clone and get into it's inventory. Press the eye icon or the "inspect" option, the item windows will quickly blink, then disappear.
5. Quick hands; you have to press and drag/take control the item from the clone's inventory slot. If you fail, repeat the second part of step 4.
6. If you successfully gained control of the item, drag it to your or your companion's inventory/equipment slot. Enjoy your duplication glitch.

Console

1. Pre-toss a Potion of Speed nearby or get near Haste Spores​
2. Equip the items you want to duplicate.
3. Start a combat with anything, can be an enemy or summon with the help of Demonspirit Aura from Abyss Beckoners.​
4. Use the Invoke Duplicity​ feature on the puddle from Potion of Speed or on the Haste Spores​ fumes. Wait around 7 seconds for the clone to get Hastened​. DO NOT throw the potion on the clone as almost any direct contact will make it disappear.
5. Get into stealth and try to pickpocket the clone, using Turn Based mode can help.
6. Steal the items you wanted to duplicate, I recommend the pickpocket build for more expensive/difficult items.
7. Finish combat or disable the Demonspirit Aura​. Enjoy your duplication glitch.
