This post is a guide on Best Builds in Cyberpunk 2077. This is a very popular question as the games give you hundreds of options to customize the character. For some people, this can be overwhelming and I am here to help. I will shortly go through recommended perks, attributes, and equipment of the best builds.
Check
all Cyberpunk 2077 builds that I have created to find your perfect match
As this is an overview, detailed guides can be found with the provided links in each section. Let's Start!
Best Cyberpunk Builds
The builds mentioned here are powerful. Of course, the start of the game may be extremely challenging, especially on Very Hard. However, once you understand the game combat, it will become easy. The core parts of the build are these:
- Attributes - they are important for making the best build. Attributes decide how you can allocate your perk points and base stats.
- Perks/Skills - improve stats of V, weapons, etc. Moreover, they sometimes provide unique game-changing abilities
- Equipment - this is the most impactful thing that you can do to increase your build damage. I will recommend some weapons to maximize the offensive capabilities
The builds I suggest will cover these core parts, making you understand how to reach your desired goal for the best experience. I will also provide a link to the original build after each section in case you want to read more.
Sandevistan Build - ultimate anime inspiration
This is a very popular build after the 1.6 patch release together with the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. It is inspired by the main character of the show David Martinez. The build relies on Cyberware called Sandevistan. It allows slowing time, but the wearer can move at normal speed.

When using it, enemies are very slow and you can easily take them out when encountered. This works well with both ranged and melee weapons.

Netrunner Build - Hack Your Way
This is the most iconic build that you can make in Cyberpunk 2077. The whole game revolves around hacking, controlling networks, etc.
The build is perfect for those that enjoy distant combat and rarely engage in direct combat. I think Netrunner Build is the most powerful option that you can go with.

Of course, what makes this build fun is that you can use quickhacks as distractions. They can also take care of enemy groups while you run to take care of other enemies. Here is a more direct approach that is possible with Netrunners:

The build goes full in on this melee weapon. Of course, at the start of the game, it may be very difficult to fight enemies as you have low hp and need to reach enemies before they tear you apart with bullets.

This build concentrates on one thing - being effective and making large numbers using ranged weapons. Unfortunately, the build does not have any gimmicks and mostly relies on the user's ability to do precise shots.
For detailed progression, gear, perks, and tactics check the
full Gunslinger build post
Of course, this is greatly supported by the wielder's skill and how well one can land headshots. So be sure to practice. Once you will obtain Sandevistan you can slow time and better control the encounters.
Gunslinger build is for those Cyberpunk 2077 that love guns.

Engineer Build - tech weapon and grenade master
With this build, I tried to imagine how an Engineer would look in the Night City. The most obvious that come to mind are - being proficient with tech weapons, grenades, and crafting. Optionally they could be versatile in hacking
The good thing is that Grenades are abundant in Cyberpunk 2077 so this build is very powerful as you can just plow your way through with them. Normal enemies are knocked down and their limbs are torn down.
Attributes
You can get Tech to 20 at about level 40. This is when you can craft the best Legendary items in the game.

Stephenson Tech Mk.4 |
Decreases cooldowns of quickhacks by 45%. Moreover, combat quickhacks have a longer duration of 50%. Very good for Contagion, Overheat, and Short Circuit. |

Cyberware - Legs
Slot |
Item |
Description |
1 |
Reinforced Tendons |
My personal favorite makes traversing much easier. |
Monowire - ranged melee Combat
This build is something that you would not expect - ranged attacks with a melee weapon. The only other builds that can replicate this are Ninja Build and Throwing Knives build, thanks to the Dagger Dealer perk
For detailed progression, gear, perks, and tactics check the full Monowire build
However, in this part, we are talking about Monowire. It is a very powerful cyberware attack that allows one to take out a wire and use it for attacks. What makes this weapon special is that it can hide in an extremely wide area and from a range of a few meters. This makes Stealth easier.

The big downside of this weapon is that it becomes "exhausted" with continuous attacks, making it weaken. So just stopping to attack for a few seconds brings it back to its full potential.
Attributes
In this section, I will go through recommended attributes and how you should progress with them. Picking the correct ones will ensure that you have sufficient stats to kill enemies.
At the maximum level of 50 here is what you should have:

- Reflexes - 20. This attribute will be of the most value to increase the base Monowire damage.
- Body - 19. We invest in Body attributes to increase melee weapon damage. Moreover, it provides bonus health points and stamina for greater survivability.
- Cool - 20. This attribute will boost Monowire build stealth capabilities. Moreover, Cold blood will increase the stats for each enemy that you kill
- Intelligence - 9. The stat is mainly taken to get Cyberware for a critical chance increase. I think it is better than 20 Body

In this section, I will go through recommended perks for the Monowire build in Cyberpunk 2077

A very powerful ability that doubles the damage and guarantees a Critical hit when attacking from stealth. Thanks to this you can take out many enemies with a single hit. |
Cool Blood

Cold Level |
Skill |
Description |
1 |
Cold Blood x3 |
One of the main abilities that I suggest taking. It provides buffs to various stats for each enemy that you kill. |

Tech Sniper - ultimate long-range combat
I recommend this build for those that want to engage in very long-range combat without stealth. What makes this build very powerful are tech weapons and their unique effects. They can be charged allowing them to bypass any walls and hit the enemy directly.
For detailed progression, gear, perks, and tactics check the
full Tech Sniper build
The longer you charge the weapon the stronger it will hit. The main drawback is that it starts swaying, which makes hitting harder. However, with some practice this becomes easy. Another important aspect is that even if enemies detect you, you can just take them out while shooting behind the cover.

If this sounds like your gameplay approach, let's dig in
Attributes
It is important to progress through the game in an optimal way. The problem is if you will spend points on incorrect attributes you may be too weak to fight against enemies.
Here is my recommendation on how to spend attribute points for each level up in order
- Technical Ability +2
- Reflexes +2
- Cool +1 - you want to be able to avoid enemies
- Body +1 - until you reach 6 points. This will provide some minimal survivability for the build
I left out Intelligence and on purpose. I think you should spend points on it late in the game when you are about level 30+. The Tech Sniper Build needs it for some cyberware, otherwise, using Ping without any investment will still work
At the maximum level of 50 here is what you should have:

Perks
Now we enter a very important part of the Tech Sniper build. We need to pick perks that will make the build deal Thousands of damage.

Equipment recommendations

Weapons
Here is a list of Tech Sniper Rifles that I recommend for Tech Sniper build:
Priority |
Item |
Description |
1 |
Breakthrough |
An iconic version of Nekomata. After penetrating walls the bullet can even ricochet multiple times |
2 |
Nekomata |
The main Tech Sniper Rifle that this build will use. It can charge up to release a powerful shot that can penetrate walls. |
Although tech sniper build uses sniper rifles, it is still a good option to have a precision rifle for some more fast-paced and close-quarter combat.
Priority |
Item |
Description |
1 |
Widow Maker |
Although not a tech Sniper Rifle it is a Precision Rifle. It means that it has a long range and also charges up for powerful shots. |
