Location - Bracers of Defence

Located in Map icon bg3Apothecary's Cellar (can be accessed trough Map icon bg3Hatch in Map icon bg3Blighted Village).

After entering the cellar you will need to use the Map icon bg3Lever hidden behind some crates. In the next section you will encounter Map icon bg3Agile Guardians (Lv. 3), you can also by pass this encounter by not interacting with Mouldering Caskets. Then talk with the Map icon bg3Ornate Mirror.

  • (DC 15) Bypass the mirror by using Intimidation, Bard Intimidation, Strength, Persuasion (requires having Map icon bg3Dark Journal).
  • Solve the puzzle. Requires answering 3 questions:

What think you of the zulkir know as Szass Tam?
The correct answer is: "A foul lich. May he die a thousand more deaths."

Tell me, why might one use balsam ointment?
There are multiple correct anwsers, choose the one which says to clean a wound: "I read a doctor's journal – he used balsam to clean a wound.".

If you could see anything in me, what would it be?
Do not choose "I'd see the ones I love." or "I'd see my enemies suffering."

After gaining entrance to the laboratory the Bracers of Defence icon bg3Bracers of Defence will be located inside the Map icon bg3 Gilded Chest.
