Triple Character Banner Release Date | 3 Event Banners Coming Soon - Genshin Impact

Every Genshin Impact update has two banner cycles that include different characters that can be acquired for about 3 weeks.

Structure of the New Character Event's banner in Genshin Impact

Due to the increasing number of new characters, by the end of 2024, Genshin Impact will have close to 100 characters. In order to attract both new and old players, Genshin Impact will definitely have a new event banner. That means there will be a second event character wish for each Version.

Currently, based on the current players activities and character distribution, there are 3 possibilities according to the vote:

First, 2 event character banners and one weapon banner, plus a permanent banner. The weapon banner has 4 featured weapons.

Second, 2 event character banners and 2 event weapon banners, plus a permanent banner. At the same time, each weapon banner will have 2 featured weapons.

Third, the fixed cycle banner opens a self-selected pool, and the player can choose a character.

However, considering the game design of the event page, the first possibility is better and easy to redesign, especially for the commercial use. Similarly, the featured time for each character and weapon is also 3 weeks. 

Release date of the third character banner

The first time Genshin Impact introduced a double UP character banner was in version 2.3, which was in December 2021. According to calculations, it has been almost 2 years since then. In 2021, miHoYo officially stated at a conference that there will be 13-15 new characters introduced each year.

It is expected that by the end of 2024, around version 5.3, there might be a major change. If the third UP banner is not updated by the end of 2024, it will definitely be reallocated before version 6.0. Otherwise, with more and more characters being squeezed in, it will affect Genshin Impact's revenue and its position in the gaming industry. If we check the revenue from 2020 to 2023, if miHoYo still wants to keep one of the best games in the world, they must give the players more wishes.
